Insurance & Private Pay Options: Care That Fits You

Choosing your treatment team—and how you pay for care—is a personal and important decision. At Empower Mental Health and Wellness Clinic, we're committed to giving you options that make quality mental health care accessible, flexible, and centered on your needs.

Healthcare Centered on You, Not a Corporation

When care is billed through insurance, certain requirements apply: a formal mental health diagnosis is typically needed, and session length or frequency may be limited by what your insurance company defines as 'medically necessary.' That can sometimes mean:

  • Your clinical information is reviewed by people you'll never meet.
  • Your clinician spends time justifying your care instead of focusing fully on providing it.
  • The number or type of sessions may be influenced by insurance guidelines.

For clients who prefer an added level of privacy or flexibility, private pay care remains a great option. You can engage in therapy without pressure to meet diagnostic or coverage criteria, and your records stay strictly between you and your care team.

Our Payment Model and Fee Options

Empower Mental Health and Wellness Clinic now offers multiple pathways to care:

  • Insurance: We accept select insurance plans (please contact our office for current list). Copays and deductibles apply according to your plan.
  • Private Pay: For those who prefer not to use insurance, we offer rate transparency, flexible scheduling, and complete confidentiality.
  • Hybrid: Some clients use insurance for certain services and private pay for others—our team can walk you through what combination best meets your goals.

We continue to provide superbills for out-of-network claims if your insurer offers reimbursement.

Payment methods include FSA/HSA cards, standard credit or debit cards, and CareCredit options.

Investing in Your Well-Being

Whether through insurance or private pay, investing in therapy is an investment in your long-term well-being. Our model allows each client to choose the level of flexibility, privacy, and depth that feels right for them.

If you have questions about fees, coverage, or which payment path might suit you best, our team is happy to guide you through your options.
